Need help finding a fishing spot

Postby Philly » Mon Jul 05, 2010 11:53 am

Hello everyone,
I am new to Australia and I was hoping someone could suggest some areas where I can go fishing from shore. I have tried the beach at coogee and bondi and have managed to land a few Australian Salmon on one day but mostly have caught a array of smaller species not worth keeping. Is there a pier or jetty or beach that is easily accessible where I can land something that can put up a little fight. Or if anyone is looking for some company and is willing to take out a newbie to Australia I would be more than willing to supply bait, gas, transportation or any cost associated. I am new to this country but definitely not new to fishing. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks and tight lines everyone,

Philly

Thanks Fishhunter,

I just bought a pretty good book that I'll give a read. Hopefully it will give me a few pointers. I'll just keep experimenting with different baits and lures until I get it right

Cheers
