Fishing with soft plastics

Postby no bites » Mon Dec 22, 2008 3:36 pm

I'm about to go out fishing using some soft plastics than my brother has given me, i think they are called 'mad shad', but what is the best set-up and best technique to use while fishing with soft plastics. I have never used a lure or plastics before, so i'm not sure what i'm supposed to do with them to get the best result.

I am unqualified to give an informed answer however I appreciate your dilemma as I am just a little further up the track from you in the experience area. I have been giving them a go lately with mixed results. The water is warmer up your way so fishing in general should be better, again I only have half a clue in this regard. I have been trying a paternoster rig with 1 lure and 1 bait. Have caught some nice fish just lately on lime tigers and sardine and sweet and sour chicken shads. Try jigging, casting drifting and see what happens
Goodluck and let us know how you go.
