Gday Fisho's
its on again the 2009 Yamaha Lake Hume Classic and will be held on the weekend of 7th & 8th of November. This year we welcome a new partner in the Commercial Club Fishing section, this is one of the biggest angling clubs in the area and will be a great asset to the event. This year we have weigh stations back both land based and on the water,we also have exclusive use of the bbq boat thanks to lake hume hire and this vessel will act as a mobile weigh station and also a lunch boat where snags in bread and soft drinks will be available for sale on Saturday for lunch. Also back is the early bird entry prize for those who get their entries in by 30th of October they will go into a draw for a prize valued at over $600.We still have all the usual categories and teams event also Murray River Spinnerbaits Dash 4 Cash is on again on the Sunday morning session. The centre of the event will again be behind the waterslide (which will run in daylight hours for the kids)at the Lake Hume Tourist Park under a bigger Marquee for more details go to our website at www.lakehumeclassic.com.au hope to see you there

Gday All
everything is in place and the early bird entries have started to roll in already. The lake is still rising and anglers that are getting out are getting some nice trout but you need to be using lures that get down around 3 metres, redfin are on the chew and when you find the schools most anglers are putting a good feed together, worms, soft plastics and ice jigs seem to be working the best and finally there have been some reports of a few yellas being caught,August was a warmer than usual month and the water temp has risin so the goldens are on the move so do not discount these hume thumpers showing up when targeting other species.Dont forget to get your entry in for the hume classic so you can be in the draw for the early bird prize valued at over $700 and there is also the $20,000 plus of prizes up for grabs in the comp itself. To avoid missing accommadation on the lake book now as the resorts and caravan parks are telling me they are filling up quick.Hope to see you all there
cheers Dave
